Getting back to this old practice of offloading head and heart after a while

Yuh..!!! it's been really a long time since I've directly put something on my blog for this purpose. Now at this hour at night after twelve hours of exhaustive, hastening and chilling time I guess my declining intellect (because of age and work-less days ) suddenly has got enough thrust to bring out some words to ease down the heaviness in my heart or head. It’s actually a depression formed out of some dramatic re-occurrence (or should I say reassessment..!!?) of some cold-feeling or a kind of negligence that I had to face from some of my mother side relatives. The agonizing part of this not-so-new-to-me matter is that this time I pushed myself into it thinking that all those cold feelings are gone and warmth of relation is being felt in this typical family. ভুল কিছু বললাম...!!?

পাকিস্তানের রাষ্ট্রদুতকে পররাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রনালয়ে তলব করে কড়া ভাষায় প্রতিবাদ জানানো , সরকার প্রধানের তীব্র ভাষায় প্রতিবাদ ব্যক্ত করণ ,  এগুলো নিঃসন্দেহে আমাদের আত্মসম্মানবোধের পরিচায়ক। সরকারের তরফ থেকে এরকম আত্মসম্মানবোধ সম্পন্ন প্রতিক্রিয়া যদি এর আগে আর কোনো  উপযুক্ত সমেয় ব্যক্ত না করে হয়ে থাকে , তবে দেরিতে হলেও এটাই হোক শুভো সুচনা। উদাহরণ সরূপ ভারতীয় কূটনীতিক দেবজানির ঘটনায় ভারত সকারের যে প্রতিক্রিয়া তা বাংলাদেশ সরকারের জন্যও অনুসরণীয় হবে , এটাই আমরা  আশা করি।  দেভ্জানির সঙ্গে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের নিরাপত্তা সংস্থার যে আচরণ , তা ওই নিরাপত্তা সংস্থা প্রথমে বিধি সম্মত তল্লাশি প্রক্রিয়া বলে দাবি করলেও , ভারত সরকারের এই আত্মসম্মানবোধ সম্পন্ন তীব্র প্রতিক্রিয়ার পর যুক্তরাষ্ট্র সরকার শেষ পর্যন্ত এর জন্যে দুঃক্ষ প্রকাশ করে।   সীমান্তে কাঁটা তারের বেড়ায় আমাদের ফেলানি কে গুলি করে হত্যা করে তার লাশ ওই বেড়ায় ঝুলিয়ে রাখার পর , এর বিচারে  ভারতের আদালতে যখন ওই বি.এস. এফ জওয়ানকে নির্দোষ বলে খালাস করে দেয়া হলো , তার প্রতিবাদে আমরা আমদের সরকারের কাছ থেকে কি এই রকম আত্মসম্মানবোধ সম্পন্ন , সাহসী প্রতিক্রিয়া আশা করতে পারি না  !!!!?

তবুও বাংলাদেশ , তারপরেও বাংলাদেশ, আমাদের বাংলাদেশ .....!!!

ডিসেম্বর মাস আসলে , আগে গর্বে , আনন্দে , জাতীয় চেতনায় মনটা ভরে উঠতো। এই বছর দেখা যায় এই চেতনায় আনন্দ , গর্ব করার একচ্ছত্র অধিকার নিয়ে নিল শাহাবাগিরা । ওদেরকে সাপোর্ট না করাতে আমার ফ্রেন্ড সার্কেলের এক সাহাবাগির চোখে আমি হয়ে গেলাম যুদ্ধাপরাধীর বিচার বিরোধী , মুক্তিযুদ্ধের বিপক্ষের শক্তি।......একদিন একটা দেশাত্মবোধক গান গুন গুন করে গাইতেই সে খোচা দিয়ে একটা কথা বলল যার অর্থ দাড়ায়...যে আমার মুখে তো এই গান আসার কথা না .......!! সে মুহুর্তে আমার মনে যে ঘৃনা , ধিক্কার এর অনুভুতি সৃস্টি হয়েছিল , বুঝতে পারিনি তা কি আমার ওই বন্ধুর প্রতি নাকি নিজের দেশে দেশদ্রোহিতার অপবাদ পাওয়া আমার নিজের প্রতি... হে আল্লাহ , তুমি জানো লাখো মানুষের আত্মত্যাগের বিনিময়ে পাওয়া আমাদের এই বাংলাদেশকে আমরা কতটা ভালবাসি , দেশের স্বাধীনতার সংগ্রামকে কতটা অনুভব করি। আল্লাহ এর রাসুলের বিরুদ্ধে কুত্সিত লেখা ব্লগে লিখে , ছেলে মেয়ে একসাথে দিন রাত মদ্যপান ও বেলাল্লাপনা করে , কিছু সুযোগ সন্ধানী নাস্তিক , লেফ্টিস্ট/ কমুনিস্টদের মাধ্যমে আমাদের মহান মুক্তি যুদ্ধের চেতনাকে পুজি করে এই সুখী এবং অগ্রসরমান , ধর্ম বিশ্যাষী, সাম্প্রদায়িক সম্প্রীতি সম্পন্ন দেশের বিরুদ্ধে, দেশের মুসলিম জনগোষ্ঠির বিরুদ্ধে যে ষড়যন্ত্র শুরু হয়েছে , তা থেকে দেশের মানুষকে তুমি রক্ষ্যা কর। বিজয়ের মাসে তোমার কাছে এই হোক আমাদের প্রার্থনা।

Morning walk with Dad

Had a walk this morning....(alone .. :( ...).Alhamdulillah..!! It can be called somewhat like a "Morning Walk" ( about 2 miles or so...) .....If I don't count the 4 days at ISSB at 2011..then this was after a gap of 18 /19 years after 1993 when I last joined my dad and younger brother on their routine 3 miles walk every morning ...Since, 1989/90 when I was 8 or 9, My dad used to have this walk almost every morning. My younger brother seemed more enthusiastic and energetic than me to join dad.... I still remember those every morning adventures through different routes such as, urban and rural roads , woods , by the rail-tracks, by the river as we’ve been in different parts of this beautiful country, Bangladesh... Among all those memories, here I am writing about a very interesting one .

One fine morning (most probably in 1993) we three started from Teacher's Training College campus at Kotbari, Comilla along the road to the famous Museum of Comilla. After a mile, we took a clay road beside Comilla Cadet College and continued the walk through a rutted, pitted, potholed hilly jungle. Dad was showing us different rare jungle trees and magnificent landscapes enthralling us all the way. We saw jungle, trees, paddy fields, small huts etc. I don't remember all. At one point we started climbing the highest hill on our way. Getting at the top I discovered that this was my very well known Military Firing Range where I used to come through the roads jogging with my school's BNCC platoon every Friday morning. I had just entered it from the other side that morning. We took that road to get back. On the way, I met a well known older brother of my neighborhood and got into his motor bike leaving my dad and younger brother behind. Looking back from the bike to say "See yaa... " I saw dad smiling at me!! Suddenly, I realized I did a terrible thing. I actually deprived myself from completing a family fun.......

A Story based on Semantic Web or Web Intelligence or Web 3.0

Consider a possible scenario happening at the advent of ICC T20 Cricket World Cup 2014 which will start at Dhaka .

The story is about an interaction between the Wisdom Web and a user. Here the user is an Afghan  tourist/spectator,'Haseeb Zadran'' (Imaginary...just think of anybody...) who has just arrived Dhaka to watch the inaugural ceremony of the world cup and would like to find a schedule of the matches at Mirpur. 

So he walks into the cyber cafe of the hotel he is staying and decides to get some practical wisdom from a public Wisdom Web outlet. He logs in with a user name, “Zadran”, and asks:

“What are the T20 World Cup 2014  matches that will be played at Mirpur stadium ?”

The Wisdom Web thinks for about a second or two and then responds: 

           “Hello Mr. Zadran!!,  may be you are looking for a schedule of Twenty 20 World Cup Cricket 2014 matches at Mirpur Shere Bangla Cricket Stadium . Here it is :

Bangladesh Vs Afghanistan (Qualifying Group A), March 16, 2014 Sunday 3.30 pm,

Pakistan Vs India (Group 2),  March 21, 2014 Friday 3.30 pm,

Australia Vs Pakistan, (Group 2) March 23, 2014 Sunday  3.30 pm,

W.Indies Vs India, (Group 2) March 23, 2014 Sunday 7.30 pm,

TBC Vs W.Indies (Group 2) March 25, 2014 Tuesday 3.30 pm,

W.Indies Vs Australia (Group 2) March 28, 2014 Friday 3.30 pm,
India Vs TBC (Group 2) March 28, 2014 Friday 7.30 pm

Would you like to go to watch one or two of them?”

Zadran replied, “Yes, I’ll go for the matches at 16th March, 25th March (3.30pm) and 28th March (7.30pm). My home team, Afghanistan is playing the first  one and might also play the other two."

Then the Wisdom Web suggests:

        “As far as I know, there are still some tickets left and you may purchase some from one of the temporary ticket sales points for the World Cup just beside the SAARC Fountain at Karwan Bazar. That is the closest point to your current position.”

Now he decides that this could be an interesting event for him...

Two days later, Mr. Haseeb Zadran arrives at the cricket ground, but surprisingly finds he forgot to notice that today’s match has been delayed as the ground is wet and unfit for the match due to the heavy rain and the summer storm last night. Luckily the sun is out again...!!  Hope fully it will dry up quickly as the ground stuffs are working hard and they have drained out the trapped water already. Suddenly..!!, there is an official declaration on the giant screen that the match has been delayed to get the wet field to be fully match fit and it will start at 6:30 pm local time. That’s exactly 3 hours from now..!!! .As he is a bit disappointed, Haseeb notices a free Wisdom Web Kiosk at a corner of the stadium. 

          Well, that’s convenient...!!

So, without too much hesitation, he logs on to the Wisdom Web, again as “Zadran”. The Wisdom Web still remembers his conversation two days ago. As soon as it recognizes, it's Zadran, it says to him:

   “Hello Mr. Zadran!. So, you are at the stadium compound now!!. But, I have learned that the match has been delayed."

   “Yuh!, Now I don’t know how to spend these hours . The local crowd is heading out. Is there any interesting place around the stadium where I can spend some time?” Haseeb asks the web.

Again the Wisdom Web takes two or three seconds to think and then replies, " If you do not have any other plan you can spend some hours at the Mirpur National Zoo before the match starts. It’s just 3 or 4 kilometers away from the stadium. I think you can have a nice time there."

Eyes lit up!, Haseeb gets excited at this, “Great !!!, I think that’s a fantastic idea!” , and asks “How can I get there ?”.

“Well! if you decide to go you can find many zoo bound public transports at stadium's bus stop.” Replies the WW.

“Okay , I’m signing off right now and heading for the bus stop. Thank you very much for the information”. Haseeb Zadran decides right away.

“That’s a pleasure!. Have a good day Mr. Zadran!!” as if it was a five star hotel receptionist from the other side of the desk..

Disproportionate Reaction

বিটিভি তে প্রচারিত একটি আলোচনা অনুষ্ঠানে , রোকেয়া প্রাচী , একটি ওয়াজ মাহফিল এ   নারীদের তেতুলের সঙ্গে তুলনা করে দেয়া আল্লামা শফী সাহেবের বক্তব্যকে পর্ণগ্রাফি হিসেবে আখ্যায়িত  করে তার গ্রেফতারের দাবি জানিয়েছেন । তার বক্তব্যের এক পর্যাএ  তিনি তার সামনে বসে থাকা একজন ইসলামিক gyan সম্পন্ন বয়স্ক পুরুষ মানুষকে ( যিনি ওই আলোচনা এ আল্লামা শফী এর বক্তব্য সম্পর্কে ইসলামের অবস্থান বেক্খ্যা করেন ) উদ্দেশ্য করে বলেন  : " আপনি যে আমার সামনে বসে আছেন , এতে কি আপনার মনে লালসা / কামনার উদ্রেক হচ্ছে ..!!? "
       একজন ইসলামিক আলেমের একটি স্থানীয় ওয়াজ মাহফিলে দেয়া এক অনিয়ন্ত্রিত বক্তব্যকে সমালোচনা করে , পর্নোগ্রাফির সঙ্গে তুলনা করে  তার গ্রেফতারের দাবি জানিয়ে জাতীয় গণমাদ্ধ্যমে বক্তব্য প্রদান করা হয় ।  অথচ মুসলিম সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠ এই দেশে , একই চ্যানেল এ একই প্রোগ্রাম এ  রোকেয়া প্রাচীর শালীনতা বিবর্জিত কুরুচি পূর্ণ প্রশ্নকে কিসের সঙ্গে তুলনা করা যেতে পারে !!?  তার এই বক্তব্যের এই প্রতিবাদ কি কোনো মুসলমান করবে না ...!!?
