At times when I take the remote control and flip over channels I
experience a very strange thing. When the picture frame changes from one
channel to another, just for a split of a second I seem to have a
glimpse of a cricket match ….!!! …As if mistakenly and very swiftly I’ve
flipped past a channel that was televising a cricket match. This strange
glance doesn’t stay more than a nano second or so. But within that
tiniest fraction of time I seem to see a wicket, green outfield, two
different shirt colors of the two teams, a bowler running in, batsman
ready, fielders converging… I remember this used to happen to me (I used
to have this same experience) 13 or 14 years ago when I used to live in
a cricket crazy community, Dhaka T.T.C. At that time I took this
strange experience as just a trick played by my subconscious or cricket
obsessed mind. Now it’s happening to me again. But, I hardly have any
connection with cricket now (I used to play the tapped tennis version in
the past but was never regular). Does it or anything like it happen to
anybody else?
